A menu cover is one of the few things in a restaurant that every single guest touches. It is picked up before the first drink arrives and put down after the last decision is made, and in between it is quietly telling people what kind of room they are sitting in.
That makes the material the message. Full-grain hide darkens where fingers hold it and looks better in year three than on day one. Bonded leather cracks at the fold within a season — which on a product defined by being opened and closed is not a durability quibble, it is a design failure. We stock no bonded leather at all.
Beyond hide, we make what rooms actually need: wipe-clean PU for high turnover, engraved oak for a taproom, acrylic for a wet bar, and the printed inserts cut to fit whatever we made.
Why we exist
Most menu cover suppliers sell one material and quote by size, and most of them will happily sell you bonded leather without using the word. It photographs identically to full grain and it fails at the fold, in front of guests, in month four.
We state the grade, we make the check presenters to match the menus in the same run, and we print the inserts to the exact panel size — because a crooked insert undoes an expensive cover, and that is the most common thing we are asked to fix.
What we actually make
Full-grain vegetable-tanned and oil-pull leather covers, blind debossed or foil stamped. Wipe-clean PU and recycled vegan leather in twenty colours. Engraved hardwood, bamboo and brushed aluminium boards with clip, elastic or magnetic fixing. Screw-post wine lists up to twelve panels. Check presenters with a card pocket that actually holds a card. Single-panel clipboards for daily menus. And the inserts, on uncoated, laminated or waterproof synthetic stock, cut to fit.
Artwork redraw is free, we thicken anything too fine to deboss, and we store your files so a seasonal reprint is an email.
